is best known for playing CLARISSA MASON on CORONATION STREET As Harry Mason’s glamorous, money-spending wife she clashed with Liz MacDonald (Beverly Callard) as they fought over the philandering bookie. The culmination was a huge catfight with Liz who unceremoniously barred her from the Rovers and chucked her out onto the cobbles. Alexandra has appeared in DOCTORS and NEW TRICKS. She has chatted with the LOOSE WOMEN and has had her life saved by John Travolta in the Luc Besson action movie FROM PARIS WITH LOVE Alexandra recently returned to London after living in Los Angeles for many years. In LA she played roles in films such as MR HOLLAND’S OPUS and TITANIC . On American TV she appeared in numerous national commercials and TV series like Party Of Five, Sabrina The Teenage Witch and The Bernie Mac Show. She performs voices for radio & TV commercials & has played characters in animated features like The Wild Thornberries. Most notably, she is the voice of Governor Elaine Marley in the cult Lucas Arts/Tell Tale computer game series MONKEY ISLAND. Her theatre credits on both sides of The Pond include everything from Shakespeare to panto; several Alan Ayckbourn plays; Rita in Educating Rita and Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion.
